Wowzers…Is it for real Memorial day weekend? Where has all the time gone? Let’s talk about a week gone by fast. My brain is on complete overdrive and I am having a hard time keeping it from exploding…SO MUCH TO DO! (Not bad stuff, just a lot of stuff) But lo, that’s life right? There is always a lots of “stuff” to do, but today I am going to try and let that stuff chill and maybe give myself a few hours of coffee, (so much coffee) reading a book in the sunshine, gardening, and just some overall chillin.
Hopefully.
And hopefully you party people out there will be able to do a little of the same, or at least the chillin part. It is a 3 day weekend after all (not for us, but whatever)

On our way to a geo catch…. And note clothing options for 2 in the afternoon. I am much fond of that little guy wearing a rain jacket without a shirt in when its sunny and 80 degrees. And a pink poke dot bath robe.. I mean, it’s so the cool thing to do.
We didn’t find the geo, but we found this gigantic mushroom. Just as cool, maybe even cooler.
I love brick and there is one street in all of burlington (that I know of) that has brick sidewalks. I like to walk down it a lot.
Nurse lady making food… I compare this to a big foot sighting. I have heard stories that she cooks,but have never actually witnessed it myself. (Just kidding….kinda)

I have managed to wear my overalls all week, cause it has been that kind of week. Rainstorms, the loudest and longest clap of thunder I have ever heard, yard and garden work, and many many mosquito bites. Me and the mr. took the afternoon on Friday to go pick strawberries and snap peas down at our farm share and now my hands are stained red and think I have eaten my weight in strawberries over the past two days. And one might think that I would get a little berried out, but every time I walk by the big bowl of berries I left on the table, I grab a few. (pretty much every time I get up in my house, you walk by the table) We also got to spend a little time hanging out with the family and seeing some little littles. Grilled cheese sandwiches (with american cheese of course) drawing on the deck with chalk, and talking about upcoming birthday cake ideas (pink or purple and must have lots and lots of sprinkles!)
And begin that its the 4th of July weekend, the mr. finally busted out our sweet little cast iron hibachi grill and set it up pretty much right in front of the front (and only) door. Once that beast is hot, it really can’t be moved easily, so there was a fire hot grill to navigate around to get out of the house. But it was ok because we grilled up a bunch of veggies (and a few little strawberries…so good!), I made the bestest potato salad that has ever been made (I’ll share the recipe this week) and we had ourselves a most fantastic time.
And fireworks…. well, I am not the biggest fan. (more of a sparkler fan) I mean, I won’t turn away if I happen to be in the area of things blowing up in the sky but I don’t actively go out of my way to see that, especially at 9:30 at night, cause geeze, I am in my pjs, on my way to bed. So no, I didn’t see any fireworks and yes,, I am an old lady.

My oldest sister graduated from nursing school this past weekend (wahoo!) and the friends and family had a party for her. I made these cupcakes for the party.But really, I made them just for her.
See, she is not a lady big on sweets. When I asked her what kind of dessert she wanted me to make her, she said if I could make a cake out of french fries, well that would be great. (I was close to making a french fry cake) But instead, I went a slightly different route and made cakes out of thing that I know she loves and can eat. Jalapeños because she is obsessed. Strawberries cause she likes her some fruit and are in season and I think, go with everything. Avocado frosting because she loves avocado and cornmeal because it makes the cakes a tad less sweet and a little more hearty. I also used GF flour cause she is GF.
Wow, I am the best sister. And here are a few more reasons why..
I went to the party (I am not a big party person.. But I did have fun and her friends were cool)
I changed into a clean outfit for her party (I really didn’t want to)
I stayed out past my 6 (I made it until 7.. what!!!)
I make her food
I am awesome (I think so anyway)
So yeah. The cupcakes. The Nurse lady totally got down with these. I am pretty sure that I heard the words, amazing and oh my good, while they were being noshed on. The day after, the nurse lady told me that they were the talk of the party (bullshit, but thanks)
Whatever, I was just glad she liked them.
The stuff. For the cupcakes; cornmeal and some pre blended gluten free flour. Sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Soy milk (use whatever milk you want) oil, apple cider vinegar, strawberries and a couple jalapeños . For the icing; an avocado, a lemon, and some powdered sugar.
This is not a hard batter to work, no need for a mixer or to cream anything, it can all be done with a wooden spoon.
First, preheat the oven.
Then trim and tiny dice the strawberries, remove seeds and tiny dice the jalapeños and toss it all into a bowl. Sprinkle with a bit of sugar.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking soda and powder, salt and sugar. Then add in the rest of the stuff. Stir together until combined.Now fold in the chopped berries and jalapeños and scoop batter into a well greased (or lined) cupcake tin.
Stick into oven to bake…
Check cakes after 20 minutes and remove from oven when they are golden brown and a tester comes out clean when poked.
Remove from pan and place on a wire rake to cool.
While the cakes are a coolin, add avocado to a blender with the zest of half a lemon and the juice of that half of lemon and blend smooth. Add in the sugar and blend.
The icing should be thick, but spreadable. Using your judgement and you taste buds, add more sugar if the icing seems to thin or lemon juice if it seems to dry.
And once the cakes are cooled, spread with icing and top with sliced strawberries.

Jalapeño Strawberry Cornmeal Cupcakes with Avocado Frosting
makes 24 cupcakes
1 1/2 cup gluten-free flour blend (if you don’t need or want it gluten-free, just use all-purpose flour)
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
3/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 cups nut or plant milk
1/2 cup oil
1 1/2 cups diced fresh strawberries
2 jalapeños
For the frosting
1 whole avocado
1/2 lemon (zest and juice)
2-2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Pre heat oven to 350
Wash, trim and dice strawberries into little pieces and toss into a bowl. Remove stem and seeds from jalepenos and dice into small pieces.. add to bowl. Sprinkle with a little sugar.
In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking soda, powder, salt, and sugar and whisk together. Now add in the oil, milk, and vinegar and mix together with a wood spoon until combined. Lastly, fold in the strawberries and jalapeños.
Scoop mixture into well greased (or lined) cupcake tin and stick into oven. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until cakes are gold brown and a tester comes out clean. Remove from oven, remove form tin, and sick on a wire rack to cool.
While the cakes are cooling, take the avocado, sugar, and the zest and juice of half a lemon and blend with your choice of blending drive until smooth. The icing should be thick enough to If the icing is to runny, add more sugar, or to thick, a little more lemon juice.
Now Ice cupcakes and top with sliced strawberries.
Today I am going to spend the day hiding inside (it’s suppose rain all day) binge watching Top Chef, while baking as many cakes and cookies as I can. For I stumbled upon the amazing world of aquagfaba (bean water, which when whipped, act almost exactly like egg white). It’s freaking amazing and I now I must devote my life to it. (no, not really).
Other then the bean juice, this week had been good. Lots of amazing clouds in the sky, more super fresh summer veggies, bke rides, gardening, summertime fun. We really wanted to go camping this weekend, but sadly our plans fell through, which is probably a good because I really don’t think my body can survive any more bug bites. I think I might have contracted west nile from the 100 trillion bug bites that I got while strawberry picking. I also might have gotten a little poison ivy (can’t tell if its just more bug bites). Either way, my skin is destroyed and I am ready to tear it all off. Oh well, we did get to spend a day on a river where the mr fished and I played with rocks. Good times.
So today, baking with aquafaba, a little T.V, some watercolor painting, and maybe a little of that stinky pink lotion on my legs. And coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. Sounds like a pretty good day to me. Hope that you out there are going to do the same (maybe not play with bean water, but have a relaxing day)

Whenever my little sister comes over for dinner, I always end up making lentils in some form or another because she, like me, is awesome and loves a good lentil. It makes me so happy that she has such great taste in food and wants to eat what I make. It’s validation from a teenage girl which is the best kind of validation.
So last night when she came over after school for dinner and trash talk (she likes to verbally abuse Nick) we decided to make both of our favorites … Lentils AND sweet potatoes. How can you go wrong with that combo? Well I am telling you that you can’t. The rich creamy soft and slightly sweet sweet potato mixed up with the hearty, earthy, oh so fantastically tasty lentil. Add in a bit of kale and cheese if you wish and serve with salsa and guac… Whoa, it’s the best!!!
Such a great evening, I get to the cooking, the sister gets to the verbal abuse and the mister, begin the champ that he is, takes it and dishes it right back.
I am the greatest(coolest) sister.
Baked sweet potatoes, cooked lentils, chopped up kale and monetary jack cheese (Cheese is optional.. and make it vegan cheese if you want) And you don’t need then, but salsa and guacamole are the best toppings.. So you have them.
Cut the cooked potato in half lengthwise and scoop the flesh out into a bowl. With a fork, smooth the potato , sprinkle with salt and pepper and mix in lentils and kale.
Stuff the mixture back into the skins of the potato.
And add some cheese (The mister and the sister wanted lots of cheese, no cheese for me) and stick the potatoes into the oven and let bake for another 5 or so minutes or until the cheese is all melty or the top is nice and crispy.
Remove and plate… Serve with salsa and guacamole and maybe some corn chips.

Makes 2 serving
1 Large Sweet Potato
1 cup Prepared Lentils
1 cup Chopped Kale
1/2 cup Grated Monetary Jack Cheese (Vegan style or not)
Salsa (optional)
Guacamole(optional)
Place potato in oven at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until soft a baked throughout.
While potato is baking, prepare lentils. 2 cups water to 1 cup lentils. Add water and lentil to pot, bring to a boil, add a sprinkle of salt, and reduce to simmer until lentils are tender.
When potato is cooked, remove potato and let cool for a few minutes. Cut in half lengthwise and scoop out most of the flesh out of the skins and place into a big bowl. WIth a fork, mash the potato a bit Add in the lentils and the kale, a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and mix to combine. Stuff the mixture back into the skins of the potatoes and top with cheese. (if using ) Place potatoes back into oven for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melty and bubbly or the top of the potato is a bit crispy. Remove from oven and serve on a plate with salsa and guacamole.

What a week. Was it summer where you are this week as well? I mean jeez, talk about one extreme to another. Oh well, at least the world has turned green, the winter stuff is completely out of sight and I found the box that contained all of my shorts and summery clothes (pants and long sleeves in 90 degrees is just gross) And honestly, it’s been great. In between work, chores and just plan old being busy, we have manage to get a few bike rides and long walks in. Plus all the veggie starts are doing great, the flowers are coming up everywhere and life just has a little bit more of a relaxed feeling. So what if my allergies are turning my face into big red puff or that the past few night have been so hot that the act of sitting has caused me to break a sweat. I’ll take it.
Oh and I can’t forget….

And I am home. The mister and I woke up at 2:15 am Friday morning to drive to Easton PA and spend the weekend with family, going to the Crayola crayon factory, wondering a grave yard, and hearing some fantastic stories about my family from the mouth of my 95 year old grandmother. (I’ll show some pictures and tell you some stuff later this week) Than we drove back late last night… I don’t know how I am even awake right now…I am sooooo much tired! But that’s how I work I guess. The coffee is almost ready, calling my name, telling me its totally cool to drink it all.

What a week. It was my birthday, which if you know me, is not usually something I like to talk about. I’m not sure exactly why, but I am not really big on celebrating my own birthday. Or its more like I hide away from everyone around my birthday. ( I am not good with attention) But this year I tried. I had a couple little dinners with family, went on a few good hikes, gave the dog a bath (had to mention it because it was so needed and I was so happy to have a cleaner, less smelly dog..which lasted all of about 12 hours) and tried to relax and enjoy myself. The mister and I also did a bunch of little house repair projects that have been needed to be done (Birthday wish list). All and all, I had a good week. And now the birthday week is over and we can get back to normal, not bugging me, hectic, crazy, life. That makes me happy. Here are a few of my happy bits from the big week.

I went to get myself a new skien if yarn and stumbled upon this wall display of sprinkles.. It took a lot to not buy a bunch.
Every year I buy myself some special food for my birthday week. This is the bulk section at the local coop. They got in a bunch of new local dried beans!!!! Local birthday week beans. ( yes, beans make me happy)
This hike was pretty treacherous, the whole trail was covered in this ice…. but look how cool it is.

Split peas with tons of purple cabbage and purple onions plus chunks or bright orange carrots.. So freaking pretty and so freaking tasty!
And last but not least..a throw back that made me smile…Moving day last summer. Our truck full of my house plants. I love my plants.
So now we go onto the last week of January! (holy crap, where has the time go?)

First week of the New Year.. and I am ready to take this year and ride it like a bull.(I don’t know exactly what that mean, but it sounds right) I am not a new years resolution kind of gal, but I am a goal oriented person and this week I have been thinking a lot about my goals and wishes for life…. and I am on my way..Nothing is going to stop me!(unless I end up getting arrested, but that is not a goal) Anyway, as always, the mister and I spent a good chunk of time with the family. Everyone’s kids have had the past two weeks off and I think all of my sisters are about to kill a small child(possibly one of their own), so we tried to help out as much as we could.I mean, I am even happy that the kids all go back to school tomorrow. But it was a good week, we went to a bouncy castle birthday party (I didn’t get to bounce..so sad) and made balloon animals(well sort of. Nick knows how to do a few, I know how to make a snake and inappropriate jokes.) I got to bake a lot and test out a few new food recipes(tasty things to come!) Its been pretty freaking cold so we spent more time then usual indoors which meant I got to read a lot. We even cleaned out the basement and made it more human friendly..and didn’t kill each other doing it! All in all, not a bad start to the new year. Here are some happy highlights.
New Years Eve hike. Anything outside makes me happy.This giant tree fell over on the trail and it looked so pretty. And yes, Washer looks handsome too.
My Grammy Stems Poppy seed roll recipe…My Dad makes them every year and this is the first time I ever made them. I split the recipe in half( the recipe make 6 huge rolls) and turned one of the rolls into little rolls. Those little rolls might be one of the prettiest things I have ever made. I am going to be making them again soon.
We had to take out Christmas tree down…which is kind of sad, but I stopped watering it and Nick stopped watering it….and it turned into fire tinder. Nick took the popcorn garland from the tree and lined the fence…. that made up for not having the tree anymore. Best Christmas present ever…The Mister paid off my outrageous library fine so I can start taking books out again.!(what a guy) I am reading both of these at the moment… and both are excellent! I kinda don’t want to do anything but read.

A visit to a green house. I am a house plant slut…I have a ton and always want more. But ever since we moved into our little cave(it has almost zero natural light) my plants have been sad and I am trying my hardest to keep them happy. I was on the hunt for some plant food to keep my green babies alive and I found myself happily wondering this greenhouses. I think everyone should have a green house full of plants, it’s impossible to not feel good in a light warm room of color.
Freshy snow walk. Our feet were the first to lay tracks around the neighborhood. Our feet are awesome.
I love my little kitchen wall, but I would love a little more space/storage/light. I am dreaming up a few kitchen projects for the mister and I to tackle, maybe more shelves, some hooks..Maybe a big old hole in the wall? I spend a lot of time fantasizing about little ways to make the kitchen a little more awesome(it’s pretty awesome now) But I mean, a window would make everyone happy. Just an idea…We will see.
So yeah, the little bits.

There is a joke about Vermonters, that all we talk about is the weather. Well, it’s kind of true. But to our defense, we get a lot of weather, and it’s always changing and intense and both lovely and crazy and all over. So yeah, we talk. A lot, about the weather. And on that topic, I am trying so hard not to complain, but honestly, I am getting a little sick, both physically and mentally from all of these super, to freaking cold temperatures. Yesterday the high was 0 ( which was at like 2 in the morning) and factor in the windchill, the temp stayed at like 25 below. It f**king sucks. I can’t stay outside for too long or else I will probably die. The dog is having a hard time making it around the block before he gets ice paws, and the mister, well he even started wearing gloves (he wears a sweater all winter and never gets cold…..he is officially cold)
And not only is the cold keeping us all indoors, but its making us all borderline sick. We both have been fighting something for the past few week. The headaches, stuffy nose, chest congestions. The puppy is getting super dry skin and gave himself a hot spot. BLAh!! Ok, enough! No more complaining
Because I do really love the winter and all the pretty snow!!!!
But we are feeling kind of sick so to make us feel oh so much better, a fantastic, super tasty, healing, good for me, good for you, soup. Turmeric ginger carrot… oh man. Made with lots of ginger, turmeric and garlic and finished with a drizzle of raw honey. This soup is exactly what we need. All ingredients scream.. FEEL GOOD, BE WARM AND COZY! Almost everything in it has antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties. The veggies are hearty and heathy and just eating soup helps to keep hydrated. And the best part..it tastes so freaking amazing.
So whether you are feeling a little mah, or just a little hungry.…this soup is where it’s at!
Lots of chopped up carrots, a small onion, a little bit of cauliflower I had left over and a small beet. If you don’t have the cauliflower and or a beet, just use ares pepper or another 2 carrots.. no biggy.
Then we have the fresh ginger ( you can use powdered) turmeric and garlic. All the good healthy spicy and yummy stuff.
I accidentally spilled the turmeric on the counter..but it kind of looks like I might have done it on purpose… yeah, let’s go with that. Chop the garlic and he ginger into chunksAnd toss into the pot to warm and activate. Just a little toasty toast.
And the veggies are roasted and tender and smell so good. It took a lot of will power to not eat the whole pan right there.
I added the roasted veggies and 3 cups water straight into my pot with the spices because I used an emulsion blender. If you are using normal blender, add the veggies, the toasted spices and the water to the blender and blend until smooth. Then transfer to a pot.
Pretty much all blended together….(I left a few big chunks in there to snack on while I was waiting to eat serve…I was really hungry) and let to simmer for a little longer…
And now ladle into a bowl and get ready for a fantastic finish… drizzle a spoonful of raw honey into soup…….so so good. You could add the honey before serving, but heating it kills all the good antibacterial stuff so that’s why we wait. Then I sprinkle some chopped kale and chives. (do it if you want, but not necessary)
Now enjoy. Let the warmth wash over you and feel all those good spices helping to fight the good fight to keep you well and all the yummy to satisfy your hunger.
And lets hope for some warm (above 0!!) weather!

Turmeric Ginger Carrot Soup
Ingredients
5 large carrots
1 small onion
1 small beet*
quarter head cabbage ( or a cup of frozen)*
2-3 teaspoons turmeric
2-3 tablespoons fresh ginger (1/2 teaspoon if using powdered)
4-6 cloves garlic
salt pepper
raw honey (omit if vegan)
* If you don’t have or want to use beet and or the cauliflower, you can use a red pepper, a small sweet potato, or just use a few more carrots.
Chop all veggies into similar sized chunks and toss into a lightly oiled pan or on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt. Stick in oven at 425 for about 30 minutes or until all veggies are fork tender.
In a large soup pot or dutch oven, toss chopped garlic, ginger and the turmeric and place on medium heat for a few minutes to activate the spices. Add the roasted veggies and 3 cups water to pot (if using emulsion blender) and blend until smooth. If using a blender, add the toasted spices, roasted veggie and 3 cups water and blend until smooth then transfer to a large pot or dutch oven. Add salt and pepper to taste. Turn heat down to simmer and let cook for an addition 10 minutes.
When ready to serve, ladle soup into bowl and drizzle a spoonful of raw honey into soup. Garnish with fresh chopped kale, chives, cabbage or whatever you want. (or nothing is good too)
Whenever my little sister comes over for dinner, I always end up making lentils in some form or another because she, like me, is awesome and loves a good lentil. It makes me so happy that she has such great taste in food and wants to eat what I make. It’s validation from a teenage girl which is the best kind of validation.
So last night when she came over after school for dinner and trash talk (she likes to verbally abuse Nick) we decided to make both of our favorites … Lentils AND sweet potatoes. How can you go wrong with that combo? Well I am telling you that you can’t. The rich creamy soft and slightly sweet sweet potato mixed up with the hearty, earthy, oh so fantastically tasty lentil. Add in a bit of kale and cheese if you wish and serve with salsa and guac… Whoa, it’s the best!!!
Such a great evening, I get to the cooking, the sister gets to the verbal abuse and the mister, begin the champ that he is, takes it and dishes it right back.
I am the greatest(coolest) sister.
Baked sweet potatoes, cooked lentils, chopped up kale and monetary jack cheese (Cheese is optional.. and make it vegan cheese if you want) And you don’t need then, but salsa and guacamole are the best toppings.. So you have them.
Cut the cooked potato in half lengthwise and scoop the flesh out into a bowl. With a fork, smooth the potato , sprinkle with salt and pepper and mix in lentils and kale.
Stuff the mixture back into the skins of the potato.
And add some cheese (The mister and the sister wanted lots of cheese, no cheese for me) and stick the potatoes into the oven and let bake for another 5 or so minutes or until the cheese is all melty or the top is nice and crispy.
Remove and plate… Serve with salsa and guacamole and maybe some corn chips.

Makes 2 serving
1 Large Sweet Potato
1 cup Prepared Lentils
1 cup Chopped Kale
1/2 cup Grated Monetary Jack Cheese (Vegan style or not)
Salsa (optional)
Guacamole(optional)
Place potato in oven at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until soft a baked throughout.
While potato is baking, prepare lentils. 2 cups water to 1 cup lentils. Add water and lentil to pot, bring to a boil, add a sprinkle of salt, and reduce to simmer until lentils are tender.
When potato is cooked, remove potato and let cool for a few minutes. Cut in half lengthwise and scoop out most of the flesh out of the skins and place into a big bowl. WIth a fork, mash the potato a bit Add in the lentils and the kale, a sprinkle of salt and pepper, and mix to combine. Stuff the mixture back into the skins of the potatoes and top with cheese. (if using ) Place potatoes back into oven for 5-10 minutes until cheese is melty and bubbly or the top of the potato is a bit crispy. Remove from oven and serve on a plate with salsa and guacamole.
I had to share the last of the 5 pineapples cause if I didn’t, that would mean I ate 5 pineapples by myself. (I ate 4 pineapples by myself) So donuts were made and delivered to my sisters house where I proceeded to make her and her kids and another sister dinner. (hand made pizza on a weekday!) I then whipped out these pretty little upside down pineapple donuts for dessert, right after I cleaned up and made whipped cream. The kids were swallowing them hole and trying to steal just one more and my sister and the mister, well they had to eat their donuts all elegant like with forks. (weirdos)

I am the best sister/aunt ever!
The stuff. Flour, salt, and the baking soda whisked together into a bowl. Fresh pureed pineapple, milk, egg, melted butter, and white sugar. Than there is more melted butter, brown sugar and fresh pineapple for the upside down. This batter is pretty simple, just make sure to whisk all the dry really well. Dump all the wet stuff into the dry and mix until combined. Don’t over mix!Grease the donut pan really well and mix the brown sugar with the remaining melted butter
Drizzle the bottom of each donut round with the butter/ sugar mix then layer thinly sliced pieces of pineapple around the hole maker. (not as perfect as a pineapple ring, but still pretty)
Scoop donut batter on into the pan and stick into the oven preheated at 350 degrees. When donuts are all nice and golden brown, remove from oven and let sit and cool for about 5 minutes to give the donuts time to cool and the brown sugar to thicken. Dump donuts out onto a wires rackAnd serve them all upside down like. Maybe with a scoop of whipped cream or ice cream or nothing.

Pineapple Upside Down Donuts
Makes 12 donuts
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar
6 tablespoons melted butter ( 1/2 s for batter 1/2 for sugar mixture)
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup pinapple puree (about 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks blended)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup sliced pineapple
Note. I used fresh pineapple, but you could use canned. I think you would need a of rings (cut in half) and a an of chunks, blended up)
Preheat the oven to 350 and grease the donut pan(s)
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, sugar and baking soda. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and mix that with into the flour mixture along with the pineapple puree, milk, and lastly the egg. Mix until combined.
Melt the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter and mix into the brown sugar. Drizzle (crumble) about a teaspoon of the mixture into the bottoms if each donut mold. Layer thinly sliced pineapple on top of that then scoop donut batter on top of that. Stick into the oven for about 10 minutes, or until donuts are gold brown and a tester comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 or so minutes on a wire rack before turning out of pan.
If working with one pan, make sure to really clean the pan and re-grease before baking the second batch!
Serve donuts with a scoop of whipped cream and eat with your face.
